Detailed Solution

(1) The number of e- involved in the reaction are 6, the reaction being Cl+6OHClO3+3H2O+6e

(2)  Number of coulombs passed =2×15×3600=1.08×105

Actual coulombs used in the reaction =1.08×105×70100=7.56×104

 Weight of KClO3 deposited =7.56×104×1236×96,500=16gms

(3) If current efficiency is 100%, amount of KCIO3 formed is =1.08×105×1236×96,500=23 gms.

(4) Number of e- involved in the reaction =7.56×10496×6×1023500=4.7×1023
