Power is defined as:

The force transfers one unit of energy when it performs one unit of work, the rate of doing work equals the rate of using energy. Power is defined as the rate at which work is completed.  Energy is the ability to do work. Because energy cannot be created or destroyed, there is no rate of energy creation.
