Q R = 83 m

∠ Q P R = 30 °

The diagram will be,

Using the trigonometric identity

tan θ = p e r p e n d i c u l a r b a s e

⇒ tan 30 ° = Q R P Q ⇒ tan 30 ° = 83 P Q

On solving the above equation,

⇒ 13 = 83 P Q [∵ tan 30 ° = 13] ⇒ P Q = 833 ⇒ P Q = 8 × 3 ⇒ P Q = 24 m
