Detailed Solution

Prakrit was the language used by ordinary people in the past.
During the Middle Indo-Aryan era, traditional regional tongues known as Prakrit languages were widely spoken throughout India. They were discovered in writings and inscriptions from that era. These languages were spoken in various regions of India from the third century BCE to the seventh century AD. The language that was used in this period was called Prakrit. The languages later gave rise to Pali and Sanskrit. Most of Gautam Buddha's teachings were delivered in Prakrit so that common people might easily understand them.
