Detailed Solution

President Hindenburg offered the Chancellorship to Hitler in January of 1933. It was the highest position in the cabinet of ministers. Around this time, the Nazis had managed to ease into the hearts of the Germans. After acquiring the highest position, Hitler exploited his powers to dismantle the foundation and structures of democracy. The Fire Decree of February 1933 suspended civic rights such as freedom of the press and speech guaranteed by the Weimar constitution. This event was followed by Nazis sending Hitler's archenemies, i.e., the Communists, to concentration camps. With the Enabling Act of March 1933, Hitler was declared the dictator of Germany. Besides the Nazi Party and its affiliates, Hitler banned all political parties and trade unions. The Nazis established complete control over the media, economy, judiciary, and army.
