From 1920 to 1921, Adolf Hitler served as the Nazi Party's leader. President Hindenburg presented Hitler with the Chancellorship, the top position in the cabinet of ministers, on January 30, 1933. After two other legislative elections that did not produce the establishment of a majority government, Hindenburg named him "Chancellor." On January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler became chancellor of Germany, signalling a significant turning point for Germany and, ultimately, the whole globe. In Germany, the majority of people supported his idea. The goal was to eliminate politics in Germany and create a strong, cohesive one-party state.
