Prince Khurram is known as Shahjahan.
In Indian history, Prince Khurram is better known as Emperor Shahjahan. Shah Jahan is another name for Prince Khurram. The fifth Mughal Emperor, Shahab-ud-din Muhammad Khurram, was known by his original name. He governed from 1628 to 1658. He was the third son of his father, Jahangir, also known as Prince Salim, and was born on January 5, 1592, in Lahore, now Pakistan. Although Shah Jahan had other wives, Mumtaz Mahal is the one for whom he is best remembered. In recognition of his favourite and beloved wife, Mumtaz, he commissioned the construction of the Taj Mahal in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in 1632, earning him a place in Indian history.
