Detailed Solution

A Democracy must be based on free and fair elections where those currently in power have a fair chance of losing.
A country can be called a democracy in its true sense if the people are proposed enough choices so that they can elect their preferred candidates. It can happen if there are two or more candidates in the fray. Apart from this, democracy must depend on free and fair elections, and those in power have an honest chance of losing. Therefore, an autonomous constitutional body must be established to examine election-related activities. But the same thing doesn't follow in Zimbabwe as the same political party continued winning elections and sat in power for years.
