Detailed Solution

In Assam, West Bengal, and Odisha, three paddy varieties are grown yearly. These are Aus, Aman, and Boro.
Aus refers to the July-August season, where the rice is planted during March-April and harvested during June-July. Aman refers to the December-January season, where the rice crop is grown from June-July and harvested in November-December. In the Boro season, rice is planted in December-January and harvested in May-June. It is the March-May season. Aman is sown during the rainy season, harvested in winter, and is the most produced variety. Aus is sown in summer along with pre-monsoon showers and harvested in autumn.
