Detailed Solution

Rajaraja I was succeeded by his son Rajendra Chola. Rajaraja Chola I was the most powerful ruler of the Chola dynasty. Between 985 and 1014 AD, he governed modern-day South India. He established a robust and powerful kingdom. Rajaraja was a capable administrator who erected the magnificent Brihadisvara Temple in Thanjavur, the Chola capital.
Rajendra Chola took over as Rajaraja I's successor. He enlarged his dominion by finishing his father's conquest of Sri Lanka. He carried on his father's heritage by expanding his empire to include the Ganga valley, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. Rajendra Chola was given the title "Gangaikonda," or Ganga conqueror.
The kingdom became formidable in the sectors of the army, finance, and culture in South India during the reigns of Rajaraja Chola I and Rajendra Chola I.
