Rajat wanted to join fitness classes, so he joined the gym and yoga classes for one month and paid ₹1350 in total. If the monthly charges of the gym are ₹150 less than the Yoga classes, then find the monthly charges for both gym and yoga classes respectively.

Let the monthly charges for the gym and yoga classes be ₹x and ₹y respectively. 

Rajat joined the gym and yoga classes for one month and paid ₹1350 in total. 

∴ x + y = 1350     .....(i) 

Also, the monthly charges for the gym clases are ₹150 less than the the Yoga classes. 

y − x = 150     .....(ii) 

Adding (i) and (ii), we get 

2y = 1500 

y = 750 

Substituting y = 750 in (i), we get, 

x+750=1350 

⇒x = 1350−750 

⇒x = 600 

Hence, the monthly charges for gym and yoga classes are ₹600 and ₹750 respectively.
