Detailed Solution

Rathore Rajput was related to Marwar. A Suryavanshi Rajput clan is the Rathores. The clan can trace its ancestry back to Surya, the sun deity, and via him to Rama, the mythical protagonist of the Hindu epic Ramayana. Because of this, the Rathores also refer to themselves as the Sun Family or Suryavanshi. The Rathores are natives of Rajasthan's western Marwar area. Siho Setramot, the grandson of the previous Gahadavala monarch Jayachandra, served as the first Rathore chieftain. To become an ascetic, Setramot, then known as Raja Singhsen, abdicated the kingdom of Kanauj. However, he became involved in a royal conflict and finally married the daughter of a Gujarati king, giving birth to three sons. After Siho died (at Kannauj), Asthan, the eldest, was nurtured in Paltan. He founded the first Rathore government in Pali after winning over the local Brahmins by overthrowing the despotic Kanha Mer.
