Raziya Sultan was dethroned in 1240.
Although Raziyya was more capable and qualified than her brothers, she was deposed from power in 1240 because she was a woman. Despite being a capable leader, Turkish nobles did not respect Raziyya Sultan. They didn't feel at ease with a queen in charge. Her rule came to an end after four years. She was superior to all of her brothers in talent and education, according to the historical historian of the time, Minhaj-i-Siraj. But when she rose to power, she was rejected. Back then, women were not permitted to have their own autonomous identities. They were intended to be in men's service. Because of this, she was dethroned in 1240.
