Detailed Solution
The Industrial Revolution was a significant game-changer in Europe in the mid-18th century. The period witnessed a shift from an agrarian economy to an industrial economy. People earlier lived with their own families, working on lands. With the establishment of factories, they started providing their labour services in exchange for a salary. Due to machines, output was more significant and more money was made compared to traditional agriculture. Therefore, it made working in factories a more attractive prospect, at least from an economic point of view. As a result, families shifted to work in the factories rather than the more traditional work on farms.
