Detailed Solution

The force of gravity is minimum at the equator.

Gravity is the force that pulls objects toward the centre of a planet or other body. The gravitational force keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.

We know that force due to gravity is given by:-

F = mg

m= Mass of body,

 g = Acceleration due to gravity.

g=GMR2

M=Mass of earth

R= Radius

G= Gravitational Constant

Also, we know very well that the radius at the equator is greater than at the pole. Therefore, gravity at the equator is less than at the pole.

 Force due to gravity is the least at the equator.
