Mycoplasma is the smallest, wall less prokaryotes. They lack cell wall and is therefore insensitive to penicillin but it is sensitive to metabolic inhibitors like tetracycline etc. As they lack cell wall so they can easily change shapes and are pleomorphic. Mycoplasma is known to cause diseases in plants, animals and man.
