Concept- for solving this question we need to know the basic theory related to the rectangle .As we know A rectangle is characterized by length and width are different in size so, first we will calculate the area of the road and already mentioned that the cost of gravelling the roads s 60 paisa per sq meter. Thus we now calculate the cost of gravelling the roads.
Given, Width=40m
Length=60m
Also, ‘t’ has 2 roads each 5 meter wide running in the middle of t one parallel to length and the other parallel to breadth.
Area of road=40×5+60×5-5×5
= 200+300-25
