Reeling of silk is:

The process of taking silk threads from cocoons is reeling of silk. 

In the process, a large number of cocoons are reeled to get a single silk thread. 

Cocoons are placed in boiling water before reeling. The silk fiber is taken out carefully from each cocoon. These are further used to produce silk thread, silk fabrics, etc.
