Draw a center point with the mark O
From this center point, make a horizontal line such as OA with scale of 1 cm
Now from the point A, make another perpendicular line and name its AB with scale 1 cm
Do the same process for BA with scale 1 cm
Join O to A, and represent

\sqrt{7}

Similarly join O to C, and represent

\sqrt{9}

In this way, we can draw the following square root spiral.

Now the square root of 49 has to be find out. Factors of this number,

49 = 7 \times 7

Take square root both sides,

\sqrt{49} = \sqrt{7 \times 7}

\sqrt{49} = 7

So, square root of 49 is 7.
