The SI unit of resistivity is Ωm. The resistivity of a substance is the same as the resistance of a rod of that substance which is 1 metre long and 1 square metre in cross-section.
The formula for resistivity is,

Where,
R= resistance of the conductor
A= area of cross-section of the conductor
l = length of the conductor
