Detailed Solution

The source material for Chakrapani Mishra's book Vishwavallabha is the Vrihad Sanhita.
Chakrapani Mishra was heavily influenced by the writings of Varahamihira. Chakrapani Mishra's novel Vishwavallabha is based on the Vrihad Sanhita of Varahmihira.
Varahamihira: Varahamihira, also known as Varaha or Mihira, was a Hindu polymath and astronomer who lived in Ujjain between 505 and 58 AD (Madhya Pradesh, India). He was born in the region of Avanti, which roughly corresponds to Adityadas present-day Malwa (a part of Madhya Pradesh, India). According to one of his own writings, he received his training in Kapurthala. According to Indian folklore, he was one of the Nine Jewels (Navaratnas) of the court of Malwa Yashodharman Vikramaditya.
