River Narmada drains into the Arabian sea.
There are several peninsular and Himalayan rivers draining the Indian mainland. Most of these rivers are east-flowing and drain into the Bay of Bengal. It includes rivers like Krishna, Kaveri, Mahanadi, and Godavari. A few rivers like Narmada, Tapi, Luni, Sharavati, Mahi, Sabarmati, and Tawa rivers are west-flowing, draining into the Arabian Sea. Narmada river forms the boundary between the northern and southern parts of India. The river originates in the Amarkantak plateau in Madhya Pradesh and flows through Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. Narmada river is one of the rift valley rivers flowing through the valley between the Vindhya and Satpura ranges.
