From the given data, we have,
C.P. of the four-wheeler = Rs.250000.
Next year the price was decreased by 10%, therefore the new price of the four-wheeler,

= Rs (250000 − 10100 × 250000) = Rs 225000.

Further next year the price was decreased by 12%, therefore the new price of the four-wheeler

= Rs (225000 − 12100 × 225000) = Rs 198 000.

Therefore, the overall decrease percent in the price of the four-wheeler in the two years

= 250000 − 198000 250000 ​ × 100 % = 52000250000 ​ × 100 % = 20.8 %

Thus, the overall decrease percent in the price of the four-wheeler in the two years was 20.8%.
