Root hairs are developed from the epidermal cells of mature region of root.
(1) Elongation region of root shows linear elongation of cells and its growing region.
(2) Root cap is present around the root apical meristem. It is a very young region.
(3) Root apical meristem is an immature tissue and, hence, it lacks root hairs.
