Comparing 3x² - 5x + 2 = 0 with ax² + bx + c = 0, 

we get, a = 3, b = -5 & c = 2

Therefore, x = $\frac{-\mathrm{b}\pm \sqrt{{\mathrm{b}}^2-4\mathrm{ac}}}{2\mathrm{a}}$

$= \frac{-\left(-5\right)\pm \sqrt{{\left(-5\right)}^2-4\times 3\times 2}}{2\times 3}$

$=\frac{5\pm \sqrt{25-24}}{6}$

$=\frac{5\pm \sqrt{1}}{6}$

= $\frac{5\pm 1}{6}$

x = 1 or $\frac{2}{3}$
