Let the third person gets the shared amount is Rs x .
The second person gets the shared amount = 50% of x.
We know that a% of b =

\frac{a}{100} \times b

where a and b are real numbers.

\Rightarrow

The second person gets the shared amount =

\frac{50}{100} \times x

\Rightarrow

The second person gets the shared amount =

\frac{x}{2}

First person gets the shared amount = 50% of

\frac{x}{2}

\Rightarrow

First person gets the shared amount =

\frac{50}{100} \times \frac{x}{2}

\Rightarrow

First person gets the shared amount =

\frac{x}{4}

The total sum of three persons shared amount =

x + \frac{x}{2} + \frac{x}{4}

3500 = \frac{4 x + 2 x + x}{4}
