Given that the total number of children is 150.
Let number of boys be x and number of girls be y.
∴x+y=150.........(1)(Given)
Rs. 58 is divided among 150 children such that each girl gets 25p and each boy get 50p
∴Out of Rs.58,
Boys will get Rs. 0.25x and girls will get Rs. 0.5y.
∴25100x+50100y=58
∴x+2y=232……….(2)
Subtract equation (1) from equation (2), we get,
x+2y-x-y=232-150
y=82
Number of girls are 82.
Therefore, option (3) is correct.
