Detailed Solution

We know that the total money to be shared is = Rs 7000

Let us consider third person get = Rs x

So, second person gets (50% of third) = 50% of x = 50100 × x = Rs x2

Now, first person gets (50% of second) = 50% of x2 = 50100 × x2 = Rs x4

We know that,x4 + x2 + x = 7000

by taking 4 as LCM (x+2x+4x)4 = 7000

By cross multiplying x+2x+4x = 7000 × 4 7x = 28000 x = 280007 = 4000

 Each of the person gets,

 First person (x4) gets = x4 = 40004 = Rs 1000

Second person (x2) gets = x2 = 40002 = Rs 2000

Third person (x) gets = x = Rs 4000
