Detailed Solution

Rule of Law is a feature of a democratic form of government.
Rule of Law maintains the existence of democracy in a country by establishing the supremacy of law, thus avoiding conflict and prejudice. British Jurist A.V. Dicey propounded the rule of law, and this concept has three major elements, which are as follows:
1)      Absence of arbitrary power
2)      Equality before Law
3)      The importance of the individual.
In India, the Supreme Court held that the Rule of Law embodied in Article 14 (Part III) of the Indian Constitution is an essential feature of the Constitution and thus cannot be altered.
