Detailed Solution

Given that, Sandeep sold a television at a loss of  8 % . If Sandeep had sold it for Rs 3360 more, he would have earned a profit of 6%.
We have the following formula:
Gain=S.P-C.P
S.P=selling price & C.P=cost price.
Gain%= S.PC.P C.P ×100
Loss=C.P-S.P
Loss%= C.PS.P C.P ×100
Let the C.P of the television be ‘a’.
Therefore, S.P of the television at a loss of 8% is,
Loss%= C.PS.P C.P ×100
The S.P of television at a gain of 6% is,
= 100+6 100 ×a = 106 100 a
The C.P of television is,
106 100 x 91 100 x=3360 15x 100 =3360 x= 3360×100 15 x=24000   The C.P of television isRs 24000.
Therefore, the correct option is 1.
