C → B → A → E → D

C. Fatty acids and monoglycerides are not water-soluble. Bile salts also help to make them more soluble by surrounding them, forming tiny spheres called micelles.

B. The micelles move from lumen of the small intestinal lumen to the brush border of the absorptive cells. Fatty
acids and monoglycerides diffuse into the absorptive cells of the small intestine.

A. Once inside the absorptive cells, fatty acids and monoglycerides are recombined to form triglycerides, which become coated with proteins, forming chylomicrons.

E. Chylomicrons leave the absorptive cell by exocytosis. Because they are large, they cannot enter blood capillaries.
They enter lacteals, which have much larger pores than blood capillaries.

D. From lacteals, chylomicrons are transported by lymphatic vessels to the thoracic duct and enter the blood at the
junction of the left internal jugular and left subclavian veins.
