According to the first law of thermodynamics, energy is neither created nor destroyed, but can be converted from one form to another. This implies that the total energy in the universe is constant. 

Isochoric process, volume remains constant V=0 but pressure, temperature and internal energy continue to be variables. 

W=-PV as V=0, W=0

First law of thermodynamics:

E=Q+W  as W=0, E=Q

Above expression indicates that increase of internal energy depends on the heat absorbed by the system.

For isothermal process, change in internal energy is zero.

E=0 E=Q+W Q=-W

In adiabatic process, there is no exchange of heat thus, Q=0.
