Detailed Solution

Separation of power is a key feature of the constitution. The division of power is a component of the constitution itself. In India, there is a division of power into three parts, the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary. The role of the legislature is to make laws, the role of the executive is to enforce those laws, and the function of the judiciary is to defend those laws. But the legislature and the executive cannot interfere in the work of the judiciary because the courts do not come under the government and the Indian constitution gave independent status to the judiciary. Therefore, it is not answerable to any government. But the judiciary can interrupt the work of the legislature and the executive.
