The human genome project is to find out the complete DNA sequence of human genome. Two approaches were adopted, one is identifying all the genes that expressed as RNA referred as ESTs (expressed sequence tags) and the other approach is sequencing the whole set of genome that contained coding and non-coding sequence and later assigning different regions in the sequence with functions and is referred as sequence annotation.
