Shahjahan built Shahjahanabad, a new city in Delhi. In 1638 AD, Shahjahan built Shahjahanabad on the right bank of the Yamuna to relocate his capital from Agra to Delhi. The Golden Age of Architecture is how many refer to his area. The imperial palace presided over the riverbank in this City. The river was only accessible to highly favoured nobility like his eldest son, Dara Shikoh. All other people had to build houses in the City, far from the Yamuna. Lal Kila in Delhi, Junkish Mango, Deepan Khas, the Delhi Jama Masjid, and the Moti Masjid were all constructed by Shahjahan. Shahjahan renovated Darul Baka College and built a new college in Delhi.
