Detailed Solution

Sher Shah Suri died in 1545 BC. The Suri Empire, which had its seat in Sasaram in contemporary Bihar, was established in India by Sher Shah Suri. He presented the rupee as a new form of money. Sher Shah, a king of Afghan descent, seized power over the Mughal Empire in 1540. Sher Shah began the siege of Kalinjar in 1543 and was assassinated on May 22, 1545, while the fort was under siege. When all prior attempts to destroy the fort's walls with gunpowder failed, Sher Shah gave the order to do so. However, when the Rajput garrison of the fort attacked his camp at night, he was severely hurt by the detonation of a mine. He was replaced by Jalal Khan, his son.
