The cloth Shikha bought for her salwar =2m 5cm.
The cloth Shikha bought for her Shirt = 3m 35cm.
In order to find the total length of the cloth, we need to add both the cloth lengths she bought for her shirt and salwar.
The total length of cloth bought by her will be,
⇒2m 5cm+3m 35cm ⇒5m 40 cm   We know that,
1cm= 1 100 m   Thus, the value of 40 cm will be,
⇒40cm= 40 100 m ⇒40cm= 4 10 m ⇒40cm=0.4m   Then,
⇒5m 40cm=5m+0.4m ⇒5m 40cm=5.4m  
Hence, the total length of cloth bought by Shikha will be 5.4 m.
