Detailed Solution

Given f(x)=5 x+4

Let x1,x2Q

Now fx1=fx2

5x1+4=5x2+45x1=5x2x1=x2

 ’ f ’ is one-one

Let yQ and f(x)=y

5x+4=y  5x=y-4

x=y-45Q then f(x)=fy-45

5y-45+4=y-4+4=y

f is onto

Hence f  is bijection

To find f-1:

Let f(x)=yf-1(y)=x

f(x)=y

x=y-45Q

f-1(y)=y-45

f-1(x)=x-45,xQ
