Chavundarai, the minister of Rachavalla IV, erected the statue of Gomateshwara. The sculpture depicts Bahubali's long meditation. The Gomateshwara statue is the tallest in the world and is separated from the other statues by a large piece of monolithic granite. Located on the Vindhyagiri Shravanabelagola in the Indian state of Karnataka, it is 57 feet (17 meters) tall. It is so high that it can be seen from 30 kilometers away. According to Jainism, it represents peace, non-violence, renunciation of material possessions and a modest way of life.
