Detailed Solution

We know that, 1000 g = 1 kg.

Then, 1 g=11000kg

Given,

Weight of apples bought by Shyama = 5 kg 300 g

=5+3001000=5+0.3=5.3 kg

Weight of mangoes bought by Shyama = 3 kg 250 g

=3+2501000=3+0.25=3.25 kg

∴ Total weight of fruits bought by Shyama = 5.3 kg + 3.25 kg = 8.55 kg

Weight of oranges bought by Sarala = 4 kg 800 g

4+8001000=4+0.8=4.8 kg

Weight of bananas bought by Sarala = 4 kg 150 g

=4+1501000=4+0.15=4.15 kg

∴ Total weight of fruits bought by Sarala = 4.8 kg + 4.15 kg = 8.95 kg

Now comparing the quantity of fruits, we get

8.95 kg  > 8.55 kg

Thus, Sarala bought more fruits.
