It is given that the side of a square garden = 30 m.
We know that, the perimeter of a square =4×side.
So, the perimeter of a square garden =4×30
⇒120 m
Since the scale used to draw its picture is 1 cm:5 m.
Let the perimeter of the square in the picture be x cm.
Using the given ratio, we can write that,
1cm:5m=x cm:120m
By cross multiplying we get

x = \frac{120}{5}

⇒x=24cm
The perimeter of the square picture is 24cm.
