Detailed Solution

Sijdah and Paibos were the traditions of Balban’s court.
The first Sultan of Delhi to adopt "Sijda" was Ghiyasuddin Balban. He established Sijda and Paibos as the standard form of the king's salutation. To meet the Sultan in Sijda, individuals had to kneel and touch the ground with their heads. Alban was the Slave Dynasty's most powerful king. The Persian customs were Sajdah and Paibos. Balban held the notion of divine monarchy. He saw himself as God's representative on Earth. He arranged his court according to the principles of the Persian royal court. In his court, no one dared even to smile. These practices were frowned upon by orthodox Muslims.
