Detailed Solution

Amphibians have a three-chambered heart with two atria and one ventricle. The pure blood from left atrium and impure blood from right atrium flow into the ventricle where they get mixed. The ventricle pumps mixed blood. In most reptiles, the heart consists of two atria and a partly divided ventricle. Crocodiles, birds, and mammals have a four-chambered heart with two atria and two ventricles. Fishes also have a single ventricle, but it pumps deoxygenated blood to the gills.
