Given equation,
2x-3=9
Add 3 both side of equation,
2x-3+3=9+3
2x=9+3
⇒2x=12
Divide by 2 both side of equation,
⇒x=122
⇒x=6
For, verification, take the left-hand side,
2x-3
Put the value of x,
=26-3
=9
Now, the right-hand side,
=9
Here left-hand side is equal to the right hand side.
Thus, the value of x=6
