x + y = 5 ------ 1
And,
2x - 3y = 4 ------ 2
Multiply equation 1 by 2,
2x + 2y = 10

2 x + 2 y − 2 x + 3 y = 10 − 4

5 y = 6

y = 65

x + 65 = 5

x = 5 − 65
