The given simultaneous equations are,

x + y = 8 \dots . . (i)

and

x - y = 2 \dots . . (ii)

From equation (1),

y = 8 - x

Substituting the value of x to get the value of y,

x	0	8
y	8	0

From equation (2),

y = x - 2

Substituting the value of x to get the value of y,

x	0	2
y	-2	0
