Detailed Solution

Given,

y = 2x + 1 or 2x - y = -1              .....(1)

y + 3x − 6 = 0 or 3x + y = 6       .....(2)

Adding equations (1) and (2), we get

2x - y + 3x + y = -1 + 6

5x = 5

x = 1

So, substituting the value of x in eq (1), we get

2x1 - y = -1

-y = -3

y = 3

Therefore, the value of x and y are 1 and 3.
