Detailed Solution

Some constituencies in India are reserved for people who belong to scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. India is divided into various constituencies in order to facilitate the smooth operation of elections. A region designated specifically for elections is known as a constituency. Every five years, the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies are up for a general election. People from Scheduled Castes and Tribes are only allowed to vote in certain constituencies. According to the Delimitation Commission, 47 seats are designated for Scheduled Tribes, 84 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes, and 412 seats are general seats.
