Detailed Solution

The droplets of water are formed due to evaporation and condensation.
When the plastic bottle is left unused in a room, the water inside it heats up and changes into its vapour by the process of evaporation. When the water vapour rises it collides with the bottle’s cap and changes into water droplets by the process of condensation. Gradually, these droplets accumulate on the empty portion of the bottle. So, by the process of evaporation and condensation, the water droplets are formed.
