Detailed Solution

Southeast Asian ports had trade links with Hooghly in Bengal.
India dominated the global textile market with its silk and cotton products before the era of machine industries. Although better cotton products frequently came from India, numerous nations produced coarser cotton. From Punjab, products were transported by Armenian and Persian traders to Afghanistan, eastern Persia, and Central Asia. Bales of excellent textiles were transported on camelback via the northwest frontier, mountain passes, and deserts. Through the major pre-colonial ports, thriving sea trade was conducted. Masulipatam on the Coromandel Coast and Hoogly in Bengal had commercial connections with ports in Southeast Asia, while Surat on the Gujarat coast connected India to the Gulf and the Red Sea Ports.
